Under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the National Procurement Commission approved contracts for 17 projects worth approximately three billion Afghanis and made amendments to nine other projects.
In a regular session of the National Procurement Commission, held on January 11, 2025 at Marmarin Palace, a total of 32 projects were presented for discussion as per the agenda.
Out of these, contracts for 17 projects were approved, nine were amended, and two projects were rejected due to issues in the procurement process. Relevant officials were instructed to re-submit these projects to a competitive bidding process, ensuring full adherence to procurement regulations.
