Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with the members of the Hindu and Sikh Council of Afghanistan at the office of the Prime Minister.
In the meeting, Mr. Samiullah Mehrabi, the legal advisor of the Hindu and Sikh Council, acknowledged the leadership of the Islamic Emirate for their efforts to address the challenges faced by Hindus and Sikhs, particularly in the restoration of their confiscated lands.
He conveyed the community’s gratitude for the special attention they have received from Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him).
They presented their proposals on the return of confiscated lands, the representation of Hindus and Sikhs, the reconstruction of religious sites, the completion of unfinished projects, and the resolution of electricity issues, while requesting that these important matters be given due attention.
On behalf of the Hindu and Sikh Council, Mr. Manjeet Singh Lambe addressed the issue of a commercial market in the first district of Jalalabad city and submitted a formal petition to the Office of the Prime Minister for resolution.
In response, Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, warmly welcomed the council members and assured them that their proposals would be thoroughly reviewed, with their requests being forwarded to the relevant authorities.
He emphasized that Afghanistan is a shared home for all its citizens, and the Islamic Emirate views addressing the issues of all its people as a key responsibility.
