Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Alhaj Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, held talks with representatives of Türkiye’s NKY Company regarding investments in electricity generation and power infrastructure projects.
During the meeting, Respected Hamkar, welcomed the investments made by investors from friendly country of Türkiye.
He assured the delegation that Afghanistan offers extensive opportunities in the electricity sector, as well as in numerous infrastructure and development projects, and emphasized that investors can invest in the country with confidence.
Mr. Hakan Bos, Deputy Director of NKY Company, stated that the company has invested in the construction of power generation facilities and renewable energy projects across 20 countries worldwide.
He added that the company now intends to invest in the rehabilitation of power generation facilities in Afghanistan, as well as in waste-to-energy projects that generate electricity from solid waste.
It is worth noting that over the past nearly five years, a significant number of international and domestic investors have invested in Afghanistan’s electricity generation and electrical equipment manufacturing sectors, with many of these projects currently under development.
