Former U.S. envoy to Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, has raised concerns that Pakistan may be using the expulsion of Afghan refugees as a cover to transfer ISIS militants into Afghanistan.
“Well-informed sources express concern that the Pakistani government could exploit the deportation of Afghan migrants to move ISIS terrorists into Afghanistan.
Khalilzad wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) page.
His remarks suggest the presence of terrorist groups in Pakistan and highlight the potential threat they may pose to the security and stability of the region.
