The Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) has announced the rejection of two shipments of construction and electrical materials at the Islam Qala border crossing in Herat for failing to meet the country’s established quality standards.
According to ANSA, the shipments comprised 35,200 kilograms of black cement and 20,060 kilograms of solar equipment. Following technical assessments and quality inspections, the products were found to be non-compliant with the required standards.
As a result, the shipments were rejected and were not granted entry into Afghanistan’s domestic markets.
