Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with Kwabena Asante, Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and Andrew Saberton, Deputy Executive Director of the organization.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Health, the meeting focused on strengthening Afghanistan’s health system, ensuring sustainable financial support, improving the management of health aid, converting mobile health teams into permanent centers, and expanding the number of health service points.
Minister Jalali emphasized the importance of increasing transparency in health services and enhancing the management of international aid.
In response, the UNFPA Deputy Executive Director pledged continued cooperation in mobilizing support for Afghanistan’s health sector.
