The United States and Iran are set to engage in a fourth round of indirect negotiations in Muscat, Oman, on Sunday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi announced on Friday.
“Following coordination with both Iran and the U.S., the fourth round of negotiations will take place on Sunday, May 11, in Muscat,” Albusaidi posted on his official X account. He did not provide further details about the agenda or participants.
Iranian state media earlier quoted Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirming that Oman would host the next round of talks with Washington. “Coordination is still pending from the Omani side regarding the venue and start time of the negotiations,” Araghchi said.
The talks were initially scheduled for May 3 in Rome but were postponed due to logistical issues, according to the Omani foreign minister, who is serving as mediator in the ongoing dialogue.
