The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the recent statement by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which acknowledged improvements in Afghanistan’s security and economic environment.
The Ministry described the statement as a positive step and a sign of understanding the current realities on the ground.
According to the Ministry, the Islamic Emirate views the statement as a clear acknowledgment of the progress made in the areas of security, the economy, and other sectors within the country.
The Ministry further stated that the Islamic Emirate is prepared to engage in constructive dialogue with the United States and other nations, especially in light of the changing circumstances that have lessened the need for Afghans to seek refuge abroad.
Emphasizing the importance of bilateral engagement, the Ministry underscored the value of providing consular services to Afghan citizens abroad.
It noted that such services, grounded in international standards, are key to avoiding complications and ensuring effective cooperation.
