Public Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali met with Robert Chatterton Dickson, Charge d’Affaires of the British Embassy in Kabul, and Richard Lynsey, the newly appointed UK Representative to Afghanistan, to discuss strengthening health cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the discussions focused on enhancing Afghanistan’s healthcare system, building the capacity of medical personnel, supporting drug addiction treatment, and improving care for cancer patients.
Minister Jalali expressed gratitude for the UK’s ongoing support in the health sector and called for the continuation of such assistance. In response, both British officials reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to cooperating with Afghanistan in improving public health services.
