Former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, said that recent clashes between Pakistani security forces and the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) have resulted in significant casualties among both soldiers and civilians.
In a post on his X account, Khalilzad urged the Pakistani government to pursue dialogue rather than war with the TTP, stressing that a military approach would be a mistake.
He further suggested that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan could play a mediating role in potential talks between the Pakistani government and the TTP.
