Mufti Abdul Matin Qani, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, denied a Financial Times report claiming he had contacted the defense and intelligence agencies of Russia, China, the United States, and Europe.
Qani described the report as baseless and emphasized that neither he nor any official source of the Islamic Emirate had made such statements. He called it a media conspiracy and part of a propaganda campaign aimed at undermining public trust and the country’s political independence.
He also stressed that publishing such fabricated news violates media ethics, professional standards, and the law on freedom of expression, urging the media to follow proper criteria in reporting.
