The Afghan Journalists’ Safety Committee, in a statement, expressed its condolences to the country’s media community and to the family of Abdul Ghafoor Abid, a reporter for National Radio Television of Paktia, who was martyred.
The committee described the actions of the Pakistani forces as contrary to humanitarian principles, moral standards, and international laws, and called on relevant national and international organizations to conduct transparent and comprehensive investigations into the incident.
The Afghan Journalists’ Safety Committee also assured that necessary assistance will be provided to the family of the martyr and to the injured.
