Referring to the recent ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, clarified that the statement issued regarding the agreement is not a joint statement.
Mr. Mujahid explained that the clause mentioning “no support for groups opposing the Pakistani government” reflects the permanent policy of the Islamic Emirate — that Afghanistan’s territory will not be used against any other country, nor will it support attacks against anyone.
He emphasized that this has always been a consistent and principled stance of the Islamic Emirate.
He further noted that, in principle, both sides have agreed to refrain from any hostile actions against each other, describing this as an important and positive development.
