Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi met with Nurul Khan Kashraov, Governor of Kazakhstan’s Turkestan Province, on the sidelines of his visit to attend the Afghan-Kazakh Business Forum.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the governor briefed the Afghan delegation on plans to establish the Turkestan Free Trade Zone aimed at strengthening economic cooperation with Afghanistan. He also emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral relations in the future.
For his part, Minister Azizi invited the Governor of Turkestan to visit Afghanistan to explore further opportunities for cooperation and to participate in upcoming conferences and trade exhibitions.
During his visit, Minister Azizi also toured several factories and industrial parks in the cities of Shymkent and Turkestan. He underscored the significance of experience-sharing, technology transfer, and the expansion of economic and industrial collaboration between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
