Prices of Afghan Fruits in Pakistani Markets

Following the closure of trade routes with Afghanistan, the prices of Afghan-exported fruits have surged sharply in Pakistani markets.

According to Pakistani media reports, seven kilograms of premium pomegranates are now selling for 8,400 rupees, while the same quantity of fresh grapes is priced at 7,000 rupees.

Fruit and vegetable vendors, as well as consumers in Pakistan, have expressed concern over the unprecedented rise in prices since the suspension of trade routes with Afghanistan.

A while ago, the Islamic Emirate announced a reduction in trade relations with Pakistan and directed Afghan traders and industrialists to utilize alternative routes instead of relying on Pakistani corridors.
