Exports of pomegranates, apples, and dried berries from Balkh Province to Uzbekistan officially began today, facilitated by the efforts of local authorities and the Balkh Chamber of Commerce.
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, wrote on his X page that in the first phase, 500 tons of fresh and dried fruits valued at $250,000 were exported from Balkh to Uzbekistan, with the goods destined for wider Central Asian markets.
Officials added that this export initiative will continue in the coming days.
