Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, Minister of Economy, met with Sana Jans, Regional Director of the global humanitarian organization Mercy Corps, and Marianne Van Sehn, the organization’s Country Director in Afghanistan.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the meeting focused on strengthening Afghanistan’s economic ties with regional countries and the international community, as well as the role of international organizations in addressing climate change and environmental challenges. Support for the agriculture and energy sectors was also discussed.
The ministry added that Mercy Corps officials reaffirmed their commitment to assisting returnees and cooperating in the areas of water supply, agriculture, energy, environmental protection, and support for small businesses.
