The three-day official visit of Shaikh Nida Mohammad Nadeem, Minister of Higher Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, to Oman concluded with significant scientific, educational, and diplomatic outcomes.
According to Hafez Ziaullah Hashemi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education, the minister met with officials from Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education and visited several prestigious universities during the trip.
In meetings with Omani higher education officials, Shaikh Nadeem discussed the signing of academic agreements, expanding bilateral cooperation, and strengthening academic ties between the two countries.
In separate meetings with university officials, he explored opportunities for broader academic collaboration, exchange of experiences, development of academic programs, and closer institutional relations. He also toured university laboratories, libraries, and classrooms.
The minister additionally met with Shaikh Ahmad bin Hamad Al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of Oman.
As part of the visit, Shaikh Nida Mohammad Nadeem toured the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the National Museum of Oman, and held a meeting with members of the Afghan community in the country. He listened to their concerns and demands and assured them of cooperation in addressing their issues.
