The Ministry of National Defense of Afghanistan stated that the recent practice of irresponsibly linking Afghanistan to the Islamabad incident and other security events, and making unsubstantiated statements and accusations, lacks any logic or foundation.
According to the Ministry, such statements by Pakistani officials neither cover up their security failures nor provide solutions to the underlying problems.
Highlighting this failure, the Ministry asked: “If Pakistani authorities are capable of identifying perpetrators immediately after an incident, why are they unable to prevent or neutralize such threats beforehand?”
The Ministry reaffirmed that the Afghan government is fully committed to Islamic values, and neither considers the killing or persecution of innocent people for political purposes permissible nor supports those involved in such unlawful acts.
The Ministry of National Defense further urged Pakistan’s security officials to discharge their responsibilities diligently, review their security policies, and, rather than misrepresenting facts or alienating their own citizens and neighboring countries, adopt a spirit of positive engagement and regional cooperation.
