Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Director General of the Office of the Prime Minister, held a video conference with Richard Lindzi, the UK’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, to discuss the current political situation.
Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi emphasized the importance of dialogue and understanding to resolve problems, noting that the Islamic Emirate has always stressed maintaining good relations with neighboring and regional countries. He stated that Pakistan has chosen the path of war instead of negotiation, which will have negative consequences.
Referring to Pakistan’s recent inhumane treatment of Afghan refugees and cross-border aggression, he added, “The Islamic Emirate has the right to firmly defend its people against these injustices.”
Richard Lindzi said that the UK is closely monitoring the situation and is in contact with both sides. He urged mediating countries to take action to resolve the ongoing tensions.
