Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health, attended the first meeting of the leadership and management board of the National Cancer Control Program.
The minister stated that cancer is considered one of the serious health challenges worldwide, and organized and effective steps must be taken for its prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. He emphasized the proper management of international aid in this field and improving the services of the cancer hospital.
During the meeting, board responsibilities were discussed, including the expansion of diagnostic and therapeutic services for cancer, provision of necessary equipment, and capacity-building for staff.
