U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States would resume naval measures against Iran and charge fees to vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for secure passage.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the United States would act as the “guardian of the Strait of Hormuz” and take responsibility for securing the strategic maritime route.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that it would not allow the United States to control the Strait of Hormuz.
