Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, stated that an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck parts of the country, including Kabul, last night.
According to him, based on preliminary reports, 12 individuals were martyred and four others injured in the provinces of Kabul, Panjshir, Logar, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Nuristan.
Additionally, five houses were completely destroyed and 33 houses partially damaged, leaving a total of 40 families affected.
