Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), has accused Pakistan’s military establishment of aligning with the United States and Israel in its foreign policy approach.
In a recent statement, he alleged that the current government is pursuing policies that, in his view, serve to protect Israel and facilitate American actions in the Islamic world. He criticized what he described as “harmful policies” being implemented by the authorities.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also announced the launch of a political movement against the government, stating that the campaign would begin on February 12 and initially involve male supporters before expanding to other regions and groups.
The remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Pakistan, where opposition leaders have increasingly criticized the role of the military in governance and foreign policy decisions.
