Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, has warned that security in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman must apply equally to all.
In a statement responding to remarks by US President Donald Trump about a potential blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Zolfaghari said that if the security of Iranian ports is threatened, no port in the region would remain safe.
He also described US restrictions on the passage of ships in international waters as “illegal” and an act of “piracy.”
