Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan, Ambassador of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation, met with a number of Afghan athletes and medalists on the sidelines of the Eighth International Forum for Encouraging Young Olympic Medalists.
During the meeting, Mr. Hassan highlighted the role of sport as an important instrument for fostering closer ties among nations and promoting a positive image of countries at the international level.
He further expressed hope that Afghan athletes, through their achievements and successes, would continue to enhance Afghanistan’s presence and standing in international sporting competitions.
