Mawlawi Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, acting head of the Afghan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, met with Mirbek Bakitovich, Fourth Deputy Political Director at Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.
According to the Afghan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the two sides emphasized expanding cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, trade and transit sectors.
During the meeting, Mr. Haqqani called for easing visa procedures for Afghan businessmen and truck drivers to facilitate trade and cross-border transport.
For his part, the Kyrgyz official expressed confidence in the continued development of relations between the two countries, particularly in the areas of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, and pledged to give these issues special attention.
