At least three police officers were killed and 20 others were injured in two separate attacks in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to international media reports.
In the first incident, militants attacked a security forces convoy in the Upper Dir district, killing three police officers and injuring 15 others, the Associated Press reported.
Hours later, an explosives-laden vehicle targeted a police checkpoint in the city of Bannu, injuring at least five more police officers, the report added.
