Mawlawi Wahidullah Mohammadi, spokesman for the 201st Khalid bin Waleed Corps, said the corps’ intelligence forces had seized 74 weapons in the eastern zone.
The seized weapons included Kalashnikovs, M16 rifles, other firearms, mortars and various military equipment, along with thousands of rounds of ammunition, he said.
Mohammadi said the weapons had been smuggled from Pakistan into Afghanistan for destructive activities.
