As part of its ongoing monitoring of construction material imports, the Standard and Quality Authority (ASQA) inspected a 25.1-ton shipment of waterproofing membranes at the Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi port.
The shipment was rejected and returned to the country of origin due to non-compliance with national standards.
Reaffirming its commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects, ASQA declares that the assessment and quality control process for construction materials will continue rigorously and consistently, and no non-standard materials will be permitted entry into the country.
