Acting Minister of Information and Culture’s meeting with Iranian media representatives;
Both sides emphasized strengthening Commonalities between the two countries
During a meeting with representatives of the state and independent media of Iran, Acting Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, emphasized the importance of strengthening the commonalities between Afghanistan and Iran.
In the meeting, the Iranian representatives acknowledged the shared aspects of religion, language, and culture between the two countries and stressed the need to enhance these commonalities.
Acting Minister of information and culture, Mullah Khairlluah Khairkhwa highlighted the misrepresentation of Afghanistan by other countries and called for collaborative efforts to counter negative propaganda and promote a positive image of Afghanistan.
He added, “Afghanistan has opened its doors to foreign citizens, allowing them to witness the reality of a peaceful Afghanistan and share their experiences with others.”
Mr. Khairkhwa recognized the valuable and constructive role of the media in enlightening the public and encouraged them for further contribution to shaping public opinion.
He also added the importance of facilitating book exhibitions and the release of documentary films, particularly on Islamic and religious topics, without any restrictions. The meeting concluded with both parties expressing their desire to continue such engagements.
