Acting Minister of Public Health Meets with Chinese Ambassador to Discuss Hospital Reconstruction and Health Cooperation. During a visit, Acting Minister of Public Health Dr. Qalandar Ibad held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Zhao Sheng. The discussions primarily focused on the reconstruction of Jamhuriat Hospital, enhancing the capacity of Afghan doctors, investing in the health sector, and controlling and preventing diseases such as COVID-19 and Polio. The Acting Minister emphasized the importance of Afghanistan-China relations and called for bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Dr. Qalandar Ibad also highlighted the priority of capacity building for Afghan health workers, emphasizing the abundance of human resources in Afghanistan that require further development. Ambassador Zhao Sheng echoed the necessity of bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence in collaboration in the field of health.
