Afghan Refugee Minister meets Japanese Ambassador in Kabul

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, met with Japan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Takayoshi Kuromaya, in Kabul.

Ambassador Kuromaya highlighted that Japan has provided millions of dollars in humanitarian aid to Afghans over the past four years and will continue supporting vulnerable communities ahead of winter.

He also praised the Islamic Emirate’s efforts in combating drugs, corruption, and criminal groups, adding that the Japanese government plans to implement several public-benefit projects in Afghanistan.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, in turn, commended Ambassador Kuromaya’s successful mission in Kabul and expressed appreciation for Japan’s continued assistance to the Afghan people.

He stressed that the Islamic Emirate is committed to fostering positive relations with the international community and has honored its commitments over the past four years.
