DRC Regional Director for Asia and Europe, Ms. Johanna, met with the Director General of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Shaikh Shahabuddin Dilawar, reiterating the organization’s commitment to assisting the people of Afghanistan.
She stated that the Danish Red Cross will channel additional aid through the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
Ms. Johanna also pledged emergency assistance for the recent earthquake victims in Kunar.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Shahabuddin Dilawar emphasized that the Afghan Red Crescent welcomes any joint initiatives that contribute to improving the lives of the Afghan people.
