The visit, which was held at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Kuala Lumpur, was also attended by Naqeebullah Ahmadi, acting head of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Malaysia.
Acting Minister of Public Health, Dr. Qalandar Ebad said in a meeting with Dato Azam; Afghanistan is a very important country as the heart of Asia. Afghanistan is an independent country. Afghanistan does not pose a threat to any country. The doors of Afghanistan are open to all for any kind of positive interaction.
He added; In the treatment of drug addicts for 20 years, the West and the previous government could not stop it, but we have treated drug addicts in a short period of time and have prevented this huge problem.
Mr. Dato’ Azam assured the Acting Minister during the assembly that the government of Malaysia will cooperate with Afghanistan in many other areas besides health.
In his speech, he called the visit important and expressed his opinion on the effectiveness of further relations.
