The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs announced that 12 projects were approved in the latest Economic Commission meeting, with relevant agencies instructed to begin implementation.
The projects focus on expanding electricity supply across multiple provinces, including Paktika, Ghazni, Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar, and Urozgan. Key plans also include work on the Dahnadare Dam in Faryab, an irrigation project in Pashtun Kot district, and power supply to the 215th Al-Azm Army Corps.
Additional approvals cover upgrading a 350-bed hospital in Aino Mina, constructing a large mosque in Nimroz, and extending major railway lines linking Torghundi–Herat and Andkhoy–Sheberghan–Mazar-e-Sharif.
