Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at a consultative meeting of Islamic world scholars in Turkey, highlighted the ongoing massacres and killings in Gaza since October 7, describing them as unprecedented and emphasizing Israel’s expansionist aims.
He noted the tragic toll on innocent Palestinians, with 35 thousand, including 15 thousand children, martyred, over 80 thousand injured, and two million displaced.
Additionally, he mentioned the targeting of journalists attempting to report on Gaza’s plight and likened the situation to a prison, drawing parallels to historical atrocities.
President Erdoğan condemned the violations of humanitarian and international laws in Gaza, including the bombing of public places like hospitals and schools.
He stressed the need for unity among Muslims, rooted in unwavering faith in the Holy Quran, to provide mutual support in the face of such challenges.
Furthermore, President Erdoğan extended condolences to the Afghan people affected by recent floods and underscored the significance of the ongoing meeting of Islamic scholars in Istanbul.
The Scholars consultative meeting was attended by the country’s Minister of Hajj and Endowments, Shaikh Al Hadith Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Saqib.
