Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Bangladeshi Parliament Speaker Hafizuddin Ahmad in Tehran to discuss strengthening bilateral ties, with a particular focus on expanding trade and economic cooperation.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi highlighted the considerable trade potential between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, emphasizing that both countries should capitalize on these opportunities to promote mutual economic growth and prosperity.
During the meeting, Speaker Hafizuddin Ahmad described the relationship between Afghanistan and Bangladesh as longstanding and friendly. He noted that Afghanistan’s ongoing economic reconstruction presents a valuable opportunity to deepen trade and commercial ties, creating shared benefits for both nations.
The two sides reaffirmed the importance of enhancing economic collaboration and expressed optimism about further expanding bilateral relations in the future.
