Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, met with Ali Reza Bekdali, the Iranian Ambassador in Kabul, to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran.
According to the Ministry, the meeting focused on strengthening economic and labor ties, enhancing business cooperation, improving the quality and quantity of technical and vocational education in Afghanistan, reviewing the situation of Afghan refugees in Iran, and facilitating the legal transfer of Afghan workers.
Mullah Abdul Manan Omari emphasized the importance of benefiting from Iran’s successful experience in technical and vocational training and highlighted the need to explore new avenues for expanding economic and trade relations. He also stressed that the status of Afghan workers in Iran should be regulated and removed from its current irregular state.
For his part, Ambassador Bekdali noted that Iran’s economic and trade relations with the Islamic Emirate have grown significantly and continue to develop, adding that expanding trade and economic opportunities will pave the way for increased investment.
