Afghanistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlawi Attaullah Omari, met with officials of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to discuss expanding economic cooperation and attracting investment in Afghanistan’s agriculture sector.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Omari invited Indian companies and investors to invest in agriculture, horticulture, livestock, food processing, water resource management, irrigation, and agricultural value chains.
FICCI officials welcomed the investment opportunities in Afghanistan and expressed their readiness to explore cooperation in agriculture, irrigation, livestock, food industries, and other sectors.
