A delegation of Iranian media representatives, journalists, and media experts met with Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanakzai, the Political Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Mr. Stanakzai emphasized the inseparable and necessary relations between Afghanistan and Iran, based on shared religion, culture, and traditions.
He highlighted that both countries face international restrictions on trade and emphasized the potential for promoting trade and transit between Afghanistan and Iran, as well as fostering good and honest relations.
Mr. Stanakzai also discussed the policy of the Islamic Emirate, the current situation in Afghanistan, and the education of girls. He stated, “The Islamic Emirate seeks positive relations with regional and global countries, including its neighbors, and will not allow Afghanistan’s territory to be used against any nation.” Mr. Stanakzai further mentioned that Afghanistan is now a peaceful country with a strong central government, successful efforts to combat corruption, prevention of poppy cultivation and smuggling, and the provision of treatment for drug addicts. He emphasized the role of media in presenting the true picture of Afghanistan to both its own people and the international community.
In the meeting, the delegation expressed their commitment to sharing the current realities of Afghanistan through the media.
