The fifth round of the Buzkashi league competition between the 13 provinces of the General Directorate of Physical Training and Sports and the Federation of Sports and Traditional Games has begun in Yaka Tot area of Kabul. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the prime minister, expressed his happiness at the completion of this stage of Buzkashi league and said; The Islamic Emirate has the intention to promote all national and traditional traditions in the country in addition to sports. In addition to supporting domestic events the Sports Authority has also excelled at the regional and national levels, as seen by the involvement of over a hundred players in China.
Mr. Wasiq also mentioned the achievements of sports: the players have participated in 60 international competitions and have produced the finest results. He claims that efforts are being made to revive national and traditional sports in the nation.
He added, that currently teams playing conventional and traditional games exist across the country.
He stated, in reference to international sports departments; We are particularly in line with FIFA and the international Olympic organizations, we have invited them to collaborate with Afghanistan and this is our top priority.

It is worth to be mentioned, that this competition will be held among the adults, youth and big printers of Bamiyan, Maidan Wardag, Panjshir, Logar, Balkh, Samangan, Sarpul, Logar, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Kunduz, Takhar and Khost provinces.
This competition, which aims to promote conventional and traditional competitions is held as the name of Buzkashi and spear throwing and this year marks the fifth edition of this annual tournament.
