Association of Independent Journalists: The Association of Independent Journalists of Afghanistan expresses optimism for the upcoming year, stating that it will bring hope for Afghan journalists and media. Officials from the association highlight that numerous media outlets, previously closed due to economic challenges, have resumed operations this year. They believe that the issues faced by journalists will be addressed in the future, and their demands will be met. Local media reporters in the provinces also note that access to information has improved, and their voices are being heard. On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior says that they are committed to the security of all citizens, including journalists, and no incidents of violence against journalists have been recorded this year. Additionally, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Zabiullah Mujahid, has mentioned that the media law has been reviewed by the ministries of information & culture and justice and has been sent to the leader of the Islamic Emirate for approval. Once approved, it is expected to address the concerns of the media.
