According to Reuters, which cites people familiar with the matter, Turkey has opposed every NATO initiative involving Israel since October because of the Gaza conflict.
According to the sources, NATO’s foundational values are being violated by Israel’s continuous attack on Gaza, and Turkey has urged the alliance to refrain from engaging with Israel until the aggression ceases.
They further stated that Ankara will keep up this block till the conflict was over.
Israel maintains close relations with some of the members of NATO, especially the United States, which is its biggest ally, and has been designated as a partner in the military alliance.
