Trend News reported that during the third two-day international investment meeting in Tashkent, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan announced that the Afghan-Trans project is scheduled for completion by 2027.
He emphasized the significance of this route as a crucial transit link connecting Central Asia with South Asia.
Abdul Latif Nazari, the professional deputy of the Ministry of Economy, highlighted that upon the project’s completion, Afghanistan will serve as a pivotal trade route connecting Central Asian countries.
Economic experts view the Afghan-Trans railway as a catalyst for the country’s economic and commercial development. The Trans-Afghan Railway project plays a vital role in linking Central Asia with South Asia through Afghanistan.
