Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and his delegation arrived in the city of Mashhad in Khorasan Razavi Province as part of his official visit to Iran. He was warmly welcomed by the governor of the province, Nazari, and at the same time, he held a meeting on some important topics in the province.
During the meeting, the development and marketing between Afghanistan and Iran in commercial, transit, railway and agricultural fields were discussed. In addition, both sides emphasized that the opportunities available in these areas should be used in order to lead to development in all-round relations between the two countries. Similarly, in relation to maintaining the level of bilateral exports and imports and maintaining the balance, it was promised to create more facilities in the customs and pay attention to the demands and problems of the traders. The governor of the province called the visit of the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs to Iran and especially to Mashhad as important and positive. Mr. Muttaqi expressed his hope for better treatment and cooperation with Afghan refugees and traders living in Mashhad.
