The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs has announced significant progress in the development of the Wakhan Corridor, with both phases of the project advancing steadily.
According to the office, the first phase of the corridor is now 60 percent complete. This section stretches from the Brughil border area in Badakhshan Province to Bazai Gonbad.
Meanwhile, the second phase—extending from Bazai Gonbad to the border with China—has reached 74 percent completion.
Officials say the project is a key infrastructure initiative aimed at improving regional connectivity and facilitating trade between Afghanistan and neighboring countries.
