India has upgraded its diplomatic mission in Kabul to the status of an embassy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India stated in a press release that this decision highlights India’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Afghanistan.
The release added that the Indian embassy will expand its collaboration with Afghans in the areas of development, humanitarian assistance, and capacity building.
