Zalmay Khalilzad, the former U.S. special envoy for Afghan peace, wrote on his X page, posing a question: Are Pakistan’s ministers of defense and interior playing a “good cop, bad cop” game?
Mr. Khalilzad added that, whatever the reason may be, Mohsin Naqvi is right — he understands that starting a war with Afghanistan is not in Pakistan’s interest.
Recently, Pakistan’s interior minister emphasized the need for dialogue to resolve issues between Afghanistan and Pakistan, while the defense minister has been making hostile and inappropriate remarks.
