Palestine has condemned a new law passed by the Israeli Knesset that mandates the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, calling it a “war crime.”
The Palestinian Authority said the law violates international humanitarian law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention, which guarantees protection and fair trial rights.
It warned the measure could escalate tensions across Gaza, the West Bank, and East Al-Quds, and urged the international community to hold Israel accountable.
Palestinian officials also described the law as a dangerous step toward legitimizing extrajudicial killings.
